Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix is the Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix finished high school and signed a pro-contract to Adidas. In 2004 she began her studies at an institution called the University of Southern California, where her major was elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic prize at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s and set an all-time junior world record. She became the youngest world winner in the 200m in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She consistently placed at the top of the podium in all events.
